I served in Korea Nov. 1970 to Dec 71. My first duty was B-7-5 out of camp page as a dog handler. In may of 71 the missile site was turned over to the Koreans.

Hq 1/42 in the S-2. i swear it was 1975-1976 because i was in Seoul 1973-1974. i was the S-2 clerk under SFC Kelly and then Allen after him. someone mentioned egg sandwiches up the hill from the gate. every pay day i had to go square up with papasan because i would stop there before curfew and scarf one going thru the gate. sometimes we would sit on the corner and wait until the last minute to go thru. killed so many brain cells with OB and Peach Oscar. drank a lot of green Schlitz from the class 6 that had to be left over from Nam. i saw Blazing Saddles in the theater there, i acted so stupid laughing at that, commander and smaj in the row behind must have thought i lost my mind. :D

I was at good ole Camp Page from Oct 75 until Nov 76. I was a MP, and had the time of my life. A 18/19 year old at the time. Met many good folks from all over while there!

I was sent to Camp Page to serve my time from march 71 til april 72 I was a medic with the 4th support co. and 1/42fa. worked mainly out of the dispensary. Did end up in the motorpool some. People tell me I was lucky going to Korea instead of Nam. But they tried to kill me in Korea anyway.

I was at Camp Page in 1966 with 226 Signal Company -- a spec5 in the Communications Maintenance Section. I found my picture in the 4th Missile Command 1966 Yearbook. A very interesting site. Brought back a lot of memories.

Stationed with the 226th Signal Company from Aug 72 - Sep 73, I was assigned to the VHF Platoon as a 31M (Radio & Relay Carrier Attendant). It was truly a unique experience. I sometimes think of field exercise that we went on and how cold it could get. I remember those days in the motor pool riding around in the jeeps and being in those line shacks. The days on getting paid with MPC, visiting the snack bar and of course everyone buying stereo equipment and cameras. When I see the TV show "MASH", it is a flash back. Overall, it was a great time.
