My Father, PFC Charles L. Hale was at Camp Page 3-1968 to 4-1969. 1st BN 42nd Artillery. Due to medical conditions, he is trying to prove to the VA that he patrolled the DMZ when he was sent "to the field" while he was there. According to the VA, Camp Page was not close enough to the DMZ to be in danger from Agent Orange, so they have cut off his benefits. I would be grateful to others who were there in this time timeframe to email me any information you have or remember about being at the DMZ so my father may appeal his case. Thank you, and God bless you for your service to our country!

My Grandfather (SFC Charles E. Tiller) passed away when I was very young. Although I have a few memories of him he's inspired me so much. I joined the Army as soon as I could & thoughts of him got me through a lot (I could almost hear him pushing me & yelling at me to keep going) I have medals, awards, military books & a few pictures, but I would love to know more, anything! If he was tough/hard or easy going. Any stories that anyone may have or could email to me would be greatly appreciated! His information is below (I'm coping it from an engraved brass bowl with different unit insignia on it)

Late husband, Gary Gerst was stationed at Camp Page Korea 1974-75. He lived in an old quansent? hut, had a 1st Sgt. named Jessie Reese, a roomate James Bender, Ruiz, Rodrigues, and many more. I have since learned that they shut down Camp Page. Gary died in 2001 from Pancreatic Cancer.
